Mr Jean, who lives in the US, will now have to prove he is eligible to run under Haitian law.
A review board will verify that his candidacy meets constitutional requirements, including having lived in Haiti for five consecutive years leading up to the election and never having held foreign citizenship.
The singer, who grew up in the US, holds a Haitian passport and has US residency. He says his appointment as a roving ambassador for the country in 2007 exempts him from the residency requirement.

The Arts

The arts have over the years come to be a prior make-up of every society.
One can't mention a country without it being recognized by this winning factor. In India, you hear Bollywood, In America you hear Hollywood, and so on. This isn't because of the country's peculiar nature, but it is based on the fact that various individuals have chosen to stand out despite everything, to make this factor- the Art- successful and in so doing makes it a part of their nation's identity and we give to these folks in every country ranging from the music artistes, the movie interpreters (actors and actresses), authors, poets, comedians, and even fashion designers, kudos for putting their respective countries in the limelight.

Take Nigeria for instance, you can't talk about her list of great accomplishments without mentioning the entertainment industry and when we talk of the industry, ready names come from the movie, music, comedy (if you'll permit me), and the publishing industry. Here, the history of these sectors cannot be written without mentioning names like Omotola Jolade, Jim Iyke, Ramsey Nouah, Joke silver, Olu Jacobs, Ruggedman, P-square, J-Martins, Tu Face Idibia, Basketmouth, AY, Ali Baba, Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka, and a host of other people. They have come to be highly appreciated by people all over for their labour of love and the sacrifices each have made to turn their sectors into gold mines people troop in to belong.

What makes this industry worth the while are the stories these individuals make on a daily basis and it'd be unfair if the characters involved in these stories are not well portrayed to the outside world.

This is why The Profiler is here.

We are here to give you up-to-date information on your favourite history-makers in the entertainment industry. If it's happening to all your characters, then you'll get it just as it is right here.

So, we would like to welcome you to this newfound vision of ensuring not only longevity but consistency and truthfulness in reporting.

We'll keep you posted...
